Riders Made the Cut
The Riders Sports wordmark has been shortlisted in the Communication Arts 2026 Design Competition, alongside work from internationally recognized agencies and studios.
We are proud to share that the wordmark created by StudioPicante for Riders Sports has made the shortlist in the Trademark category of the Communication Arts 2026 Design Competition.
Founded in 1959, Communication Arts is one of the most respected publications dedicated to visual communication. Its annual competitions celebrate outstanding work across design, advertising, illustration, photography, typography, and interactive media, presenting selected projects to an international creative audience.
The Riders Sports wordmark was shortlisted alongside work from agencies and studios including LG2, Leo Toronto, TBWA\Canada, Blok Design, and Anthem Creative. For an independent studio still in its early years, being included in that company makes this recognition especially meaningful.
Riders Sports is the production company behind UCI Gran Fondo and UCI Gravel World Series events in Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. The brand needed an identity capable of representing the scale and international ambition of its events while remaining deeply connected to the cycling communities surrounding them.
At the heart of the identity is Ride Who You Are, an idea that celebrates the individuality and diversity of cycling culture. Rather than relying on the familiar visual clichés of the sport, we developed a distinctive wordmark designed to express movement, confidence, and personality.
The wordmark became the foundation of a flexible visual system built to perform across races, apparel, digital platforms, communications, and physical environments while remaining unmistakably Riders.
For StudioPicante, making the Communication Arts shortlist is an important milestone and a meaningful acknowledgment of the thinking, craft, and ambition behind the project.
We are grateful to the Riders Sports team for the trust and proud to see work rooted in South American cycling recognized on an international stage.
