Comprising a diverse selection of savory treats such as potato chips, popcorn, and peanuts, Cric-Crac stands as a pivotal component within the product lineup of Gandour, a prominent fast-moving consumer goods company established in 1857 in Lebanon. With a robust footprint spanning 33 markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent, Gandour has solidified its position as a leader in the industry, generating annual revenues exceeding $100 million.
The marketing team enlisted our expertise to transform the brand and packaging creative direction of Cric-Crac, resulting in a revitalized logotype and a complete overhaul of the packaging art direction for their top-selling products. Inspired by the onomatopoeia of "cric-crac," we incorporated chat bubbles and vibrant color themes to differentiate product variants. This design strategy was crucial for ensuring visibility and appeal on the crowded shelves of convenience stores and supermarkets across the Middle East and North Africa. All materials have been crafted to serve both Arabic-speaking markets and English-speaking international audiences.
Cric-Crac received recognition at the ODA Awards 2024-Q2, winning Best Packaging and Gold for Branding for its innovative and striking design.
