Jump is a fictional art and music festival for kids that Chris created to showcase his logotype design and visual identity development process. This project was featured during an Adobe Live session hosted by Cory Hall. After the show, Chris and Studio Picante revisited and refined the project, enhancing the logotype, brand identity, and poster designs for the festival.
The art direction for Jump involved a complete redesign of the logotype, reflecting the festival's playful spirit. Inspired by long, twistable balloons often used in children's entertainment, the illustrations created for this project evoke a sense of fun and creativity. The color palette was thoughtfully redefined, moving away from traditional primary colors to a modern and engaging system of saturated colors tailored specifically for kids. This fresh approach not only captures attention but also creates a vibrant visual identity that resonates with a young audience.
Chris Bernay took center stage at Adobe Live to guide viewers through the exciting process of designing a brand identity for a music festival. Across two dynamic sessions, Chris shared his expertise in branding, demonstrating bold design techniques and creative problem-solving. Day 1 focused on initial concept development, while Day 2 delved into refining the visual identity. The audience gained insights into crafting impactful brand aesthetics, all while following Chris’s hands-on approach.
